Katie brings to Murphy Medical Center patients an expert level of care seasoned with wit, charm, warmth and love. Her commitment to outstanding nursing care is noticed daily by those whose lives she touches. Patients--many of whom receive chemotherapy, blood transfusions and other intense treatments--praise Katie for all she does for them. Terminal patients have a constant friend and confidant in Katie. Her personal interest in a patient is seen in her visits to the nursing home, her wonderful relationships with families and her many "free time" contacts and expressions of comfort.
