Kayla is a breath of fresh air when you're in a dark place. When we met her she immediately made every effort to connect with our grandpa and build a relationship with him. He is a dementia patient so he doesn't always remember her, but she took the time to learn some of his quirks so that she would be able to connect with him when needed. You can tell by the way Kayla speaks to her patients that she genuinely cares. She is like a woman on a mission when she thinks something would benefit my grandpa. When my grandpa has been restless and uncomfortable she has taken her own break time to calm him down and relax enough to finally get some decent sleep. She has been so diligent in his care. When she has been moved to other areas of the floor she has still come by no less than 4-5 times every single night she is here. She has made our stay as 24-hour caregivers so much better than any inpatient experience we have ever had with my grandpa. We are so thankful to have been blessed with her as a nurse. She is an amazing nurse and has definitely found her calling!
