My 83-year-old husband was recently hospitalized for six days. Kayla Hancock, RN was not only thoughtful, caring, and compassionate, she went above and beyond to help us during a stressful time. When we were going to miss an appointment with wound care and didn’t have enough computer knowledge to get the phone number on our cell phone, she used her phone and arranged another appointment for a later date, as well as a visit from the wound care specialist. She was professional and knowledgeable about his medications, and bandages. When she was going to be off duty for a couple of days, she even came to tell him goodbye and gave him a hug. Warm blankets were wonderful, but her patience, caring attitude, and professional knowledge did a lot more to ease our minds and make us comfortable.
