Kayla was just the right person to help me through the day. She was the kindest nurse I’ve ever had.
Kayla Lister’s bedside manner was that of an angel on earth. She is incredibly kind and attentive and has demonstrated a deep level of compassion throughout my experience at TCH. What truly stood out was how she went above and beyond her duties. Although she wasn’t assigned to me, she helped deliver my first baby and took the initiative to check on me and be present at the delivery of my second baby. She ensured that I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Even after I was moved to postpartum care, she made a point to check in on me again, which provided a great deal of comfort during a time of vulnerability. Her dedication to her patients, even those not directly under her care, speaks volumes about her commitment to her profession and the well-being of those she serves.

My husband and I went to TCH so I could have an ECV performed. I was very anxious about many aspects of the procedure and, overall, knowing my due date was getting closer. Kayla was just the right person to help me through the day. She was the kindest nurse I’ve ever had. From the beginning, she made me and my husband feel calm and gave us a lot of validation and reassurance. She explained every step along the way and encouraged me throughout the entire process. She made me feel very capable and strong. Kayla ensured my husband, baby, and I were always comfortable and cared for. Kayla also took the time to get to know us and has a natural ability to build rapport quickly. Kayla went above and beyond each step of the way. She even suggested nurses to ask for the day of delivery to ensure we would have the most positive experience. I cannot express how thankful we are for Kayla. She works very hard, diligently, and effortlessly, and she also has a fantastic sense of humor; you can tell she cares deeply for every patient she meets. There aren’t enough words to describe how great of a nurse she is!
