I am honored to nominate Ms. Keheshen Hailu, our extraordinary PICU Head Nurse, for the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award. With over 36 years of dedicated service since joining us in 1987, she has become the heart and soul of our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Her career has been defined by exceptional leadership, compassion, and a commitment to advancing pediatric care.
From the very beginning, Ms. Keheshen Hailu demonstrated a deep sense of purpose and responsibility. Her calm demeanor, clinical expertise, and ability to comfort families during their most challenging moments have touched countless lives. She has served as a mentor, role model, and advocate for both patients and staff.
Her dedication extends beyond patient care. She has led countless quality improvement initiatives, implemented evidence-based practices, and championed educational programs that have strengthened the skills and confidence of her team.
