Kellie has been nothing short of amazing, caring and compassionate. When my son C was first admitted for blood transfusions, Kellie went out of her way to make him and myself comfortable. Kellie would answer questions I had about my son's medical condition with no complaint. We had been admitted a few times before and have been very grateful that Kellie was our nurse. She is very caring and attentive. She goes out of her way to make my son happy as well. I loved that she got to know us on a personal level and was generally concerned about not only C's well being but mine as a mother too. Kellie would talk to C about his video games and characters, which he really connected with. On one particular occasion, she actually went after work and bought my son food and a milkshake. She knew that I didn't want to leave the hospital or my son, and he was being extremely picky about his food. I couldn't believe she was willing to do that for us. To say that I am grateful is the least of how I feel. Everyone should have a nurse like Kellie who makes them feel cared for and comfortable in a very scary time of need.
