We had a male patient who had been given a diagnosis of liver cancer. While he was patiently waiting to be discharged, his partial front teeth were placed on his dinner tray. They had been in a paper towel and because of this, they were accidentally thrown out with the garbage. Kelly Hepner went through each bag of garbage in the garbage bin. This was all the garbage that was thrown away overnight. Kelly didn't stop looking until she found the partial dentures. She did not have to go through each bag of garbage until she found them. She didn't have to look at all, but she did with a happy heart. She made this patient very happy!
