She has great empathy, endless patience, and warmth of heart. It is all reflected in her words, actions, and her illuminated presence of being.
I’m the legal guardian to my great-granddaughter, who suffers from brain trauma due to Shaken Baby Syndrome at 9 months old. There was little encouragement that she would ever develop much more than being bedridden and/or in a wheelchair if she was able to develop upper body strength, to which I stated, “that is unacceptable”, and brought her home. I was contacted by Any Baby Can for help and the case worker recommended Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health for help. We were blessed with Kelly, LVN. How does one put into words the dedication of another’s profession? Kelly is a dedicated and attentive professional in her field. She has great empathy, endless patience, and warmth of heart. It is all reflected in her words, actions, and her illuminated presence of being. Together, we have experienced times of excitement and joy for each achievement made by great-granddaughter who bonded with Kelly on the very first day!
She now has a G-Button through which she receives her formula and all medications. Kelly has worked tirelessly over the last 3 years and still is working with her, me, all the doctors, specialists, and therapists, struggles and progress toward developmental goals for her. She is now four years old physically and 2 ½ years old cognitively. She has accomplished so much and is still working towards set goals, all of which is an ongoing process through the unknown potential for her mental, physical, and spiritual development.
The goals set for my great-granddaughter are an ongoing process with ups and downs, mixed with lots of attention, patience, and endless love and devotion. Kelly has and does offer many facets of love and encouragement, not only to my great-granddaughter, but to me as well. Simply put, Kelly is our ANGEL of CARE!
