Kelsey is the greatest charge nurse ever. She's always professional at what she is doing, such as making time and doing assignments for fellow nurses to make sure the assignment is fair for everyone. She steps in to help, taking difficult/complicated admissions even though she's doing charge just because she can help her fellow nurse to have a better night. Kelsey's not only very friendly; she shows kindness with her coworkers and patients and their family members, but also shows her compassion of caring for people with her smiles and gentle voice, which has never changed in whatever situation she is in.

Kelsey is the definition of an amazing nurse leader who not only uplifts her patients but her team as well. She truly deserves every bit of recognition for constantly going above and beyond her duties. Kelsey is the first nurse to check in with her staff and the person who I aspire to be as I begin my nursing career here at LEMC. She is compassionate and driven and is the support that everyone needs and wants when they are working on the floor. She is also an amazing mentor and continues to guide me through the hardships of being a new nurse in the residency program. This award is only a small piece of what Kelsey deserves to be recognized for and I'm confident she will continue to inspire us all.
***
Kelsey is the role model nurse that I aspire to be like. She is kind, patient, generous, knowledgeable, encouraging, ethical, and always comes with a great attitude. The compassion she shows to patients is attentive, engaging and she demonstrates the kind of care that would make anyone believe that any patient is the only one she has that shift. Kelsey keeps her fellow staff informed, always offers support and assistance, and remains calm under stress. I've never met a nurse more deserving of this award than Kelsey, even though I work with incredible nurses every day.

Kelsey is the definition of an amazing nurse! She exemplifies the perfect blend of technical skill, compassion, and leadership. She goes above and beyond to make her patients comfortable and ease their anxiety while here. She is always willing and available to help her co-workers. She is a role model on our unit as one of our primary charge nurses and is also involved in additional efforts to improve our unit, such as shared governance and mentoring new staff.
***
Kelsey is a model charge nurse and team member. She goes over and above to make sure everyone has a smooth night. She assists when needed and anticipates potential needs and how she can assist whether with additional staff, equipment, or supplies. She participates in committees. She heads personal celebrations such as birthdays or baby showers. She makes each person feel like they are a valued part of the culture on unit 43. I am proud to be on her team.

Kelsey is a great nurse. She has a pleasant and compassionate demeanor with everyone she comes into contact with. She is always offering help and advice to new nurses and provides an easy-going attitude that is extremely approachable. She is resourceful when it comes to patient care and can always determine a solution. Her kind and gentle personality put people at ease which allows for extraordinary nursing care.

Kelsey is absolutely the best. I have worked with Kelsey for 11 years and I don't think I have ever seen her in a bad mood. She is always pleasant and compassionate to her patients and always willing to jump in and lend a hand to her co-workers. Kelsey is a great resource and if she doesn't know the answer she goes all out to find the correct answer to any questions or concerns.
***
From the first day on the floor with Kelsey, she has been a rock star! Kelsey ALWAYS goes above and beyond to care for our patients. Their comfort and safety are a priority. Plus, she is the most patient nurse. Her compassion touches not just patients but staff also. As a charge nurse, she is always fair and a great resource of knowledge and the best example of leading by example. She is always looking at the positive side of things, always willing to try out new techniques/policies with a positive outlook. When Kelsey does something, she does it with a lot of thought and consideration, very professional and yet a goofball when needed. I know everyone views Kelsey as an outstanding nurse/charge/person which is why I asked the staff if they would be willing to help recognize Kelsey. Everyone jumped at the opportunity as you can see, she is a true DAISY Nurse!
