Kelsi Lowe knew exactly what to do when it came to monitoring my unborn baby and me while I was in surgery. She was calm and collected throughout the process, even when the baby’s heart rate was elevated. She knew how to keep me calm as well.
Compassionate Care:
I was 8 months pregnant with two very large kidney stones. I was hospitalized a few times for pain control and then ultimately was scheduled for surgery to have the stones removed. I had Kelsi as my nurse twice during this time. I was extremely nervous during my procedure to have my stones removed. Kelsi went into the OR with me to monitor my baby. She also held my hand and talked me through being anesthetized. She did her best to keep me calm during the process as I have PTSD with medical procedures.
Exemplary Service:
Kelsi did not have to acknowledge me at all in the OR. Although she was there just to monitor the baby, she made me feel like my feelings mattered. As mentioned above, she held my hand and talked to me while the anesthesiologist prepped me.
Continued Commitment:
Each time I encountered Kelsi, she was always the same. Welcoming, ready to help, understanding and never made me feel rushed. She made me feel like my baby’s health and I were important, and her priority.
