Kerry is an outstanding, hands-on nurse in the Surgical and Neuro Critical Care Unit. Kerry is the ultimate team player. She comes to work with a smile on her face and loving energy in her heart. She shows her care and concern for every single patient she cares for and all the patients in the unit. Kerry had an especially challenging situation with CRRT, as the machine kept clotting. Kerry changed the circuit in the CRRT machine 4 different times, all while caring for the patient receiving this therapy and her other patient. Kerry was able to return the blood to the patient all 4 times! Any nurse who has fought with any machine to try and help their patient can understand this is a HEROIC feat! This is a small story that illustrates the kind of care that Kerry provides every shift, to every patient in our unit. I'm proud to work alongside Kerry and our SICU/NCCU is blessed to have her on the team.
