Her compassion, empathy, and kindness have truly changed our work culture.  She has shown us that we have a voice and a leader who values each of us.
Ketty basically embodies all that is mentioned above. Ketty is a fabulous manager who makes me feel seen and comfortable at work. Ketty is always willing to listen to her staff and share a laugh. Ketty gets her job done, and makes sure her staff is as happy as can be. She lets us know about necessary changes for the floor and why and is happy to answer questions. She is very warm and you don't feel intimidated going to her. Ketty is always looking for new education projects and making sure her staff stays up to date on education. I am truly grateful for such a wonderful manager, and she has a million degrees as well! A very smart lady!

Ketty has created an environment characterized by trust, compassion and mutual respect.  Before she joined, we worked in a punitive and hostile atmosphere where we were afraid to speak up and many felt voiceless.  Ketty changed that.  She encouraged us to voice our opinions professionally, assuring us that we wouldn't face penalties or retaliation for speaking up. She fosters a safe space where everyone feels heard and respected.

Her open-door policy and accessibility--- allowing anyone to text, call, or visit her office- make her an approachable leader. Ketty always makes time for each of us, whether we need to discuss work or simply vent. When my mother was sick, I often go to her office to talk. She supports us through personal milestones and challenges, from births to marriages to difficult moments,  and she is the first to celebrate our achievements together.

Her compassion, empathy, and kindness have truly changed our work culture.  She has shown us that we have a voice and a leader who values each of us.

Ketty encourages a positive culture in our unit by conducting regular meetings where we feel (staff) comfortable sharing our concerns and ideas. She encourages everyone to enhance skills through continuing education/conferences/seminars.
She is always available to listen and support anyone who needs support with anything that needs resolution. She can be counted on to step in when the need arise, specially when we were short staff, she took over as a charge nurse or a baby nurse or relieve nurses for breaks.

Ketty demonstrates empathy through celebrating our unit's success, be it big or small. She acknowledges everybody's exceptional patient care with recognition during staff meetings. She extends help when her staff has personal/family needs by adjusting their schedules to provide support and ensure work-life balance.

Ketty introduced the use of Peanut Balls to promote optimal pelvic alignment, encourage proper fetal positioning, shorten labor duration, and, most of all, reduce the need for Cesarean Delivery.
