I first met Kim Arnett in November of 2009 when I was an inpatient for colon cancer surgery. Kim not only showed professionalism but she showed empathy as well. When I was an inpatient for 2 weeks I looked forward to seeing her and I knew I would be fine with her care. Recently my husband was an inpatient twice in August of 2014 and Kim was also his nurse. We found out that she had been promoted to charge nurse which was a much deserved promotion. My husband had an infected cyst where the infection went to his bloodstream and he developed septic shock. Kim explained to us how this can occur in laymen's terms. With her as our nurse we both felt at ease and Kim by all means deserves the DAISY Award!
