Kim Grube, RN, has been recognized as Wayne HealthCare’s DAISY Award winner for Fall 2024, nominated multiple times by patients and peers who were moved by her compassionate care and team-oriented spirit.

Kim’s nominators praised her professionalism, kindness, and willingness to support both patients and colleagues. One nominator shared, "Kim was not only professional, but also kind and caring. I noticed she was always eager to assist other nurses and nursing assistants." Another team member expressed how Kim uplifts everyone, even on difficult days, adding, "Kim genuinely cares about us. She portrays a positivity that resonates throughout the entire unit."

Starting her nursing career later in life, Kim transitioned from a 20-year career in education administration to pursue her lifelong dream of nursing. Since joining Wayne HealthCare three years ago, she has become a beloved and dedicated member of the team, especially with the older patient population she adores. Kim attributes her positivity to her personality and love for Wayne HealthCare’s welcoming, close-knit environment. Her caring nature, dedication to others, and infectious optimism make her a true DAISYNnurse.
