"Kim went above her duties with a patient who was in her late 50's who presented in the ED with a chief compaint of chest pain. Due to the emerent condition, the patient's clothes were cut off and thrown away. Kim remained at the bedside for a lenghty time period and encouraged and reassured the patient throughout her ED stay. After treatment stablized the patient, the patient realized her card holder that held $400 had been discarded with her clothing. The patient was extremely concerned and Kim went out of her way to find the card holder. She took extra time, showed compassion and built a relationship with the patient which demonstrates great nursing care."
