She showed compassion, experience, love, and professionalism as she took on the storm of death.
This nurse is very informative, detailed, and has great attention to detail. The passion this nurse has for her career is second to none. Stabilizing my father in an emergency situation with such a relaxed demeanor was impressive. The amount of care she had for the patient and family was very soothing as a guest. Impressed beyond measure. Blessed to have had her at WRMC with my family and father during a scary situation.
This nurse showed why she is a DAISY Nurse. On day 1 (hours into the ICU), my father is getting worse. Organs failing. Sepsis taking over his body. Yet, here is this nurse, in control, owning the room and ready to do what she does best - - care for someone she does not know. She showed compassion, experience, love, and professionalism as she took on the storm of death. My dad was knocking on death's door, and she was not accepting that. She was not letting him go without a fight and was ready to do whatever it took to keep him alive. Success was the only option and successful this nurse was.
The DAISY Award should be honored to have her name as a recipient and WRMC should be grateful to have her employed here. I know our family will never forget her, as she is a part of our family now and the reason my dad is still fighting his fight.

This nurse saved my husband's life. Her soundness, confidence, knowledge, and quick decision-making saved him. Amazed by her all-around being. Being a transplant patient myself, she is right up there and is a miracle worker. Her care, sympathy, and ability to handle the different levels of knowing how to explain what was going on step-by-step. Honesty and ability to explain to a mother and 2 sons at the level of trying to make sense were amazing. She is beyond the very best thing that happened to us on the worse day of our lives. You are lucky to have her and we are very grateful.
