I would like to nominate Kourtney Chuman, RN for the DAISY award. Kourtney is currently on assignment at Maria Parham Medical Center as an emergency department nurse with her travel partner. Back in June, her travel partner informed me of an award she received from a sister hospital for outstanding trauma service. But her partner added that Kourtney really should have been recognized for her work as well. In the emergency department, when you have a trauma patient, it’s all hands on deck. And Kourtney was there to help wherever she was needed. Kourtney is so selfless, and kind and is the kind of nurse that the DAISY Foundation recognizes.
