Although our daughter was in a medically induced coma, Kristin treated her with the utmost kindness and respect.
Our daughter N lost her battle with cancer. On her last day, she was respectfully, carefully, and dutifully cared for by Kristin. Although our daughter was in a medically induced coma, Kristin treated her with the utmost kindness and respect. On that last day, our daughter was on a ventilator, on dialysis, and surrounded by dozens of IV pumps. Kristin instilled a sense of calm in the room, always addressing our daughter by name.
Kristin, with her years of experience, realized our daughter did not have long to live and delayed an order for chemotherapy. The delay in the order allowed her sister, our daughter, to fly in from Colorado and say goodbye. She was kind, respectful, calming and professional. For those reasons, we would like to award Kristin a DAISY Award. We would like her to know that on the most difficult day of our lives, she made a difference.
