Ms. Beller is a caring, trustworthy LPN who lives and breaths the VA motto "I CARE." She serves as an effective valuable member of our team, helping RNs to quickly conceptualize Veterans' strengths, health problems, and establishing an appropriate plan of care. She has made a big difference in the lives of our Veterans and staff by being very proactive in Veteran treatment. She has done this by actively participating in psychological, occupational, and goals group which promotes holistic care and improves outcomes.
On one occasion she served as a patient advocate as they were non-compliant and very upset. After confiding in Ms. Beller, the patient decided to remain at the facility and complete his treatment plan.
Ms. Beller shows respect for all individuals including patients and employees alike. She always greets them with a smile and her signature saying, "the patients are ours." She is a great listener who is always available to provide positive advice, based on her spiritual beliefs that gives hope to our Veterans. She has helped prevent 2 suicide attempts on our unit by offering hope to Veterans who believe all is lost.
I am privileged to work with Ms. Beller as she has made a difference in our unit with her constant delivery of exceptional care and compassion.
