Kristie Barger has demonstrated all of the I CARE principles every time I have been helped by her in person or through messaging. The VA has been my medical provider since 2007, and I have had many interactions with most of the providers, nurses, technicians, etc.
Kristie is exceptional as she has been my go-to person at the Bend clinic for about two years. She has done her job as if her patients were her family members. In-person, she is warm, personable, and efficient. She listens when you tell her something and makes you feel like you're not just another old Veteran. If you talk to Veterans, they will tell you one of their biggest complaints is communication with their primary care team. This is an area where Ms. Barger excels!
In the two years, she has handled my communication with my primary care doctor; she has never dropped the ball. This is a huge quality! No matter what I ask or need, she takes care of it right away. If everyone working at the VA were like Ms. Barger, there would be no complaints!
