I had a procedure at West Bloomfield Interventional Radiology, and my nurse, Kristina, was wonderful! First, she remembered us from our last appointment about 3 months ago, wished us a Happy New Year, and asked us how we were doing. Second, she got warm blankets and coordinated getting an ultrasound and assisted IV placement within minutes of my putting on the hospital gown. She remembered from before that my veins are jerks. Kristina checked on us often pre-procedure and made us feel like we were her only patient. Post-procedure, she was quick to assess my abdomen, collect vital signs, and offer me something to drink. Per my request, she brought me some coffee and sugar packets. And later, some apple juice. After another assessment of vital signs and review of discharge instructions/paperwork copies provided, we all agreed that I was ok to get my IV out, get dressed and then get into the wheelchair that she brought me. Kristina embodies all of the Cs of Nursing and more: Caring, Conscientious, Competence, Continuity, Commitment, Critical thinking, Creativity, Compassion, Cool-Calm-Collected, etc. She's an absolute asset and a blessing to her patients and her peers. Her attention to detail and going above & beyond the standard of care again made my visit a pleasant one. I hope she'll be my nurse again next time!
