She did not give up and made me feel like she was in this experience with me. I have no doubt that God took care of us by giving us, Lacey.
In February of 2021, my husband and I went into Labor and Delivery for the birth of our son. We were very excited, but my gut told me he had not dropped into position yet (despite being a full 40 weeks) and that he was a large baby. I am a small person so this concerned me, but I was determined to have him without the need for a C-section. Labor was going wonderful I progressed quickly but it was evident that my son was strong-willed and very cozy because he would not come down into proper positioning. In walks Lacey Armstrong our labor and delivery nurseā¦ This nurse saw my determination and met it with her own determination. She used her own knowledge and a little creativity for HOURS to get our boy into the world. All this, and she was a wonderful ear for listening when I was scared and worried. When she wasn't sure what to do she researched and looked up new ideas to help position him safely including placing my delivery bed into Trendelenburg and placing me into quadruped position on it. She did not give up and made me feel like she was in this experience with me. I have no doubt that God took care of us by giving us, Lacey. I'm not sure I would have been able to do it without her. She was so determined, creative, made us laugh, encouraging, and she was in this experience WITH us! Our sweet 9 pound 22.5 inch baby boy came into this world screaming and safe and I feel as if it was in part due to Lacey. She was made to be a labor and delivery nurse!
