My eye doctor sent me to MEE for a detached retina. A driver delivered me to the hospital. I walked into the emergency waiting room and felt lost and afraid. I had no idea what was going to happen to me. Within minutes, Laina called me in to get me registered. I have seldom met a stranger who was more kind than Laina. She gave me a sense of well-being and optimism just with her attitude. I will remember and be grateful for that warmth of spirit by someone who would likely never see me again. As it happens, the surgery went well, and I can now see what I am writing eight days later. Thank you!

I witnessed Laina going above and beyond to ensure that an elderly ENT patient received excellent teaching instructions with discharge medications. She was caring and showed patience and kindness. She answered all of the patient’s questions and took the time to demonstrate and have the patient return the demonstration so that she could ensure the patient was capable of performing the task at home. This is the type of care I want my family members to receive. It warmed my heart to witness this empathy, compassion, and dedication.
