It's very hard to write this nomination during this difficult time, but Reina is worth nominating. She demonstrated extraordinary compassion, professionalism and great communication skills.
Rae is the best! She took amazing care of my mom. She is kind, sweet, gentle, and very compassionate. She always made sure we knew what was going on with my mom in the ICU. We have never had such a great nurse here at St. Rose.

I have been a nurse for 25 years and always put the patient at the center of care. When my mother had a massive bleed in her brain, I was asked to come from another state. My mother's situation was dire, and although I knew the outcome was not great, it required her husband to understand, too. Reina explained every detail. She was compassionate, loving, empathetic, and proactive, and she followed through.

Reina was my mom's nurse when we decided to "let her go" because of a massive brain bleed. Reina was amazing at explaining the process of making her comfortable and took excellent care of making sure we understood what to expect.
