Larry is always willing to help, no matter what the task. He is very knowledgeable and a great resource. He is a great problem solver and always has an answer or idea when it comes to a problem. I feel better about my day when I come to work and find out Larry is here! Not only is he a great nursing resource he is also a good moral/spiritual resource. If I'm worried about something in life, Larry always has a word of encouragement.

Anytime we need anything he is there to help. He helps out with more than nursing. He encourages staff when they are struggling. Larry goes above and beyond for anyone!

When Larry is working everyone knows they can call anytime and he will come and help in whatever way he can; even if it's just helping put the department back together. You can always ask Larry what something is or where it is and even if he doesn't know, he will immediately set out to try and figure it out for you. The care that he provides for the patients is competent and caring. Larry is always attentive and does what is best for the patient.

Larry is the most devoted team player that I have worked with in my 13 years of nursing. You never have to ask him to do something because he is doing the task prior to your asking. He provides caring and compassionate care to our patients and their family members. Larry is the nurse that every department calls for. Knowledgeable, cheerful, attentive, professional, trustworthy, and would pray family members in their time of need. Thank you to Larry Hamilton for all the years I have worked with you!

Larry always goes out of his way for our patients and their families. Just one example: Larry built a wheelchair ramp and rails for a patient so they could return home safely. He does not "pass the buck". Never leaves other nurses with more work to do. When he comes to work you can trust that he will take care of the patient completely. Larry always has the time to help patients and family and co-workers. He is a positive force to have on staff.

Larry comes and helps without asking why, no matter what the job is, and is never quick to rush off, always making sure nothing else needs done. I have never seen him frown, he comes to work smiling and has a smile on his face all day. I've never heard Larry raise his voice or give even a hint of impatience toward staff or patients.

Larry is such a team player, he goes to wherever he is needed, tries to accommodate staff. He will help with any task needed, no matter how menial and with a smile on his face always. He is caring, compassionate with patients and yet strong and firm when needed for an unruly patient. I once saw him give his own belongings from his home to a C.N.A. who expressed a need and no money for it, without the slightest hesitation. Larry is a pleasure to work with and the most deserving of this award than anyone in the whole hospital in my opinion.

Larry is always willing to help out with anything, from changing a lightbulb to helping in a code situation. Larry is a wealth of knowledge and experience and is willing to share! It is always a pleasure to work with Larry and he really makes a difference in the experience of patients and co-workers.

Larry seems to be the encyclopedia of nursing. If you don't know the answer you call Larry. If you have a difficult IV start you call Larry. Larry is always cheerful and positive, he can find the positive in any circumstance. Larry is truly the most caring person I know. Listening to him talk of his experiences truly inspires me to be a better nurse. Larry is the nurse I would want taking care of my children or other loved ones.

Larry is always cheerful when working no matter how stressful the day. He is very observant with the patient flow and knows when to jump in and help, often without being asked. Larry's positive, compassionate, caring attitude is directed at staff as well as the patients. He is always available to meet all the patient's needs emotional, physical, and spiritual. For me, Larry embodies all the qualities that I look for in a nurse. We are fortunate to have Larry work at Tillamook Regional Medical Center!
