My mom had surgery today. She is a three-time breast cancer survivor and now has lymphedema. Her journey started at age 42, today she is 73. The lymph node transplant surgery was major, and the first time, my mom seemed scared and uneasy…she has battled cancer and surgeries over 3 times with grace, but today, she was fearful. That was until "LT" our angel nurse walked in. Behind her mask were the most beautiful eyes and voice that assured us this was going to be ok. She had compassion, grace, and a godly vibe that put Mom and me at ease. There was a nurturing spirit and kindness that made this experience special for our family. She is a blessing. LT is also a 2-time survivor and shared her story with us. These warriors are amazing and inspirations to all!!
