Without Laurie's guidance and support, I would not have made it through the procedure.
Laurie ticked all of the above. I was so impressed with her care. She was 1000% patient-centred. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel comfortable and at ease. This was my first baby, and I was also struggling with prenatal OCD; Laurie listened and asked about my struggles and knew what signs to look out for if I was struggling.

Considering what I was going through, it was one of the best days mentally because of how good Laurie was. We hit it off immediately. I felt like I had my best mate in there with me. She was brilliant. Each procedure she talked me through from the cervical examination to putting the heart rate monitor on baby's head. I never felt worried. Then it came to my epidural and that's when I had my wobble. Without Laurie's guidance and support, I would not have made it through the procedure. It all went a bit crazy after that as I had to have an emergency C section and again Laurie was there all the way. It was not just me she looked after but also my mum and partner. We all cannot praise her enough.

Due to her shift change, she missed the birth of my baby, but I was desperate to see her again to say thank you, and I let the team know. Bless her. She even came and saw me the next day after her shift in the post-natal ward to see how I was getting on. That's going above and beyond in my book.
