Our daughter was here with her husband to deliver their second child. As her father I am observing her surroundings. Actually the entire team today in L/D are incredible, caring ladies. Leah was documenting on the computer by my daughters bed when my wife asked her "Is it nice to be able to do the computer instead of paper?" Leah replied "It is, but I'd much rather be caring for the patients' needs and concerns." Her statement confirmed how I already felt about her. She came in the room with a very kind smile. She talked with my daughter right away and made sure she was comfortable as she could be on delivery day. She explained simply but concise as to what would be going on with her and the baby. You could tell it for her it wasn't just a job. She cares like my daughter is the only patient. When asked, we found out that every bed was occupied that day. Me and my family feel that Leah is a deserving recipient of the DAISY award.
