Leanna was my nurse when I was in labor and delivering my son. There were hours when I wasn’t progressing, and Leanna made sure she was with me every 15 minutes to move me into new positions or to adjust my medicines. She was so committed with me to avoiding a C-Section. She did it, and I was able to deliver my baby just how I wanted. After delivery, I hemorrhaged badly, and Leanna never left my side while at the same time saving my life! I felt so safe and taken care of.

I was in and out of it, but I remember just wanting to make sure she was there because I trusted her, and she always was. After we made it to the postpartum side, Leanna came to visit. She was an angel and a literal lifesaver. She is amazing at her job and deserves all the recognition for it! Any pregnant person is lucky to have her on their side, and Northwestern is certainly lucky to have her. Thank you, Leanna!!
