Lee-Anna is a collaborative leader who serves as a role model and mentor for nursing by leading by example and nurturing leadership qualities that assist in continued professional development. She is adaptable and flexible, embraces change, and is able to modify teaching methods to meet a diverse range of needs.

Lee-Anna has made changes that have benefited the department, and she continues down this productive and positive path. The way new orientees are trained has changed under her leadership, and she has listened to the input from previous new hires and senior staff. Routinely, we are offered "refreshers," which are essential to ensure we are maintaining the most up-to-date nursing care and practices, and we are presented with new information/policies that are being implemented throughout the hospital. Lee-Anna is approachable, welcoming, and personable with staff - and she engages with us daily. She has been an essential part of the team, fulfilling her role exceptionally while making things a lot more fun!

Lee-Anna always goes out of her way to ensure that everyone is welcomed in the department. She has a cheerful attitude, a calm presence, and a can-do attitude. She has been a rock of stability as our department has gone through changes and has worked outside of her regularly scheduled hours to ensure the department’s needs are met. She is always on top of educational in-services and opportunities and makes sure that we are always up to date with policy changes and the latest hospital updates. She works diligently with our nursing orientation process to streamline our orientees so they feel confident. She is patient and kind and always available to help. She is a mentor to her peers and an advocate for her patients.
