Lee is the first recipient of the DAISY Nurse Leader Award at KershawHealth, which gives staff, patients, and families a way to express their gratitude for the compassionate environment Nurse Leaders provide. Lee's peers and staff recognized her dedication and nominated her as a role model for compassion and exemplary practice. Lee promotes and enhances the image of nursing within the organization, the community and the profession. She motivates staff with a shared vision and enthusiasm to achieve better outcomes for themselves and for their patients and is a mentor to staff. Lee represents her profession through Professional Shared Governance Councils, membership in the South Carolina Organization of Nurse Leaders (SCONL), and the American Critical Care Nurses(ACCN).
