After the traumatic delivery of my baby boy at 27 weeks, I was desperately waiting for the day to hold my baby in the NICU, and day by day, I would ask the nurses if I could hold him for kangaroo care, and I kept being told he’s too small, I'll need to wait. Until the day Leena was assigned to care for my baby. She approached me with a big smile and asked if I was ready to carry him. She very patiently and carefully helped him out of his incubator and placed him on me. Despite the number of wires and cables to which he was connected, which added to the complexity, Leena made it happen because she knew how much of a difference it would make for both my baby and me. And it did!
