Lindsey was the nurse who initially admitted my son when he was brought to a room. She was so kind and calm while he was crying through the admission process. She explained everything in the room as I've never heard any nurse anywhere do before. She was so thorough. Lindsey was with us through our first night and was great, but she really showed me/us her true colors the next night when she returned.
My baby was having difficulty breathing and had a huge change of status. Lindsey walked in and all I could say is "can you please help my baby?" I was in tears. Lindsey jumped right on the ball. She was calm, cool and collected. She was compassionate and loving with her word choices. She was calling the doctor with one hand while assessing and taking care of my baby with the other. We had a rough night that night and she went above and beyond for my baby. She was in constant connection with the doctors and trying her hardest to make sure my baby was ok and taken care of. Not only did she make sure he was ok, but she was also taking care of this crazy momma too.
Lindsey showed what the nursing profession is really all about, caring and compassion. Also on our first night here, my baby would not let me leave his sight. Lindsey went downstairs and brought up some food for me. An act of kindness (of her many) that I will never forget. I truly felt like she cared for me as well as N. Thank you so, so much Lindsey.
