A grateful wife called to discuss the experience she had with Lindsey Kellar, RN in the ED. Her 46-year-old husband went off to work like any other day while she took the kids to school. She later received a call that he wasn't feeling quite right, he eventually ended up going to the ED. It turned out her husband had a serious condition and needed to be transferred immediately to higher level of care. She told Lindsey that she was 2 ½ hours away and was so afraid. She said Lindsey kept calling her to keep her calm and updated, and she knew that Lindsey must be so busy with her husband but Lindsey called her frequently with brief updates to keep her calm and informed. She truly believes that Lindsey helped save her husband's life and kept her calm enough to meet her husband in Milwaukee. She called a few weeks after things settled down as she could not express enough how much Lindsey, a very busy ED nurse, took the time out to keep the entire family informed while saving her husband's life. This is typical of Lindsey as she is always professional and kind, even during very stressful situations!
