Lisa is a 15 year veteran in patient care. She provides our patients with tools that they can use once they exit our doors. She tells them "now I don't want to see you back in here" with a smile. She fills them with resourceful information on how to access community services, especially to those that can't afford it.
Once Lisa's patient, you are always her patient. Recently, she took care of a patient who was not doing so well. His family was faced with having to grasp that his health would not improve. The family was having a hard time understanding what the doctor was telling them. Lisa does what she always does and talks to them like they are her own. She comforts them and breaks disease processes down so they can understand.
No matter how Lisa's day is going she is always saying "It's a great day on our unit how can I help you". She is always smiling. She wants everyone to be excited about patient care like she is. She encourages our team to participate in self-directed education and attend conferences. She does not hold back. She always brings what she learns back to our team. Lisa is amazing and we are proud to have her as part of the JPS family.
