I do not know where to begin in my praise of Lisa Doyle RN from Interventional Radiology. Lisa is a consummate professional. Her dedication to patient care has always been a sight to behold. She deserves kudos for her immense capability handling emergent situations with sensitivity, tact, professionalism, and kindness. This is not only visible to coworkers but to patients and families as well. As a member of the oncology team, we treat the sickest of the sick. Tests and procedures are scheduled with little to no notice at all. Lisa is the first call by the nursing staff to assist with these cases. Lisa will rework an already packed schedule to accommodate oncology patients. This is no easy task as she is managing an already packed schedule on a daily basis. She has never failed to let me down and on the occasions when delays occur or schedules change, Lisa is immediately at the bedside to communicate with patients, staff and families. Working side by side with Lisa I am often reminded of the quote by Henry Ford, "Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success!"
In efforts to provide situational recovery, Lisa is again, the first call by staff to speak to patients and families, upset by perceived delays or any other patient complaint. Lisa never shies from these difficult conversations. She is able to diffuse these difficult situations with kindness, compassion, and concern in a caring manner.
Lisa is able to bring success and satisfaction to every situation. Her positive energy and dedication to patient engagement and patient safety is remarkable and inspires all those she encounters to strive to do the same.
