My nurses on HV 7 were great, but Lisa Dunn had a certain something special to be able to connect to another human being. She provided excellent nursing care, treated me as a human being who had a personality and a history, and paid close attention to my emotional needs. Lisa used all these talents without making it seem like work. She seemed to be everyplace for everyone; always helping and always cheerful. Lisa's mannerisms were so happily contagious. I felt awful, but she actually made me feel better by spending time with me. It is hard to explain how wonderful, kind and compassionate Lisa was.

Lisa took such good care of me. She made me feel better and more confident about my medicines. When I was checking out, things felt hectic and confused. Lisa sat down with me on a very busy day for her. I'm sure she was tired but she thoroughly explained each medication and my fears disappeared. She merely smiled that smile, patted my hand and helped me feel better about everything. I cannot say enough good things about Lisa!

I was discharged fully confident to go home, thanks to Lisa, my nurse that day. Because of Lisa's attitude, helpfulness and explanations, her gift to me was a very good day. She gave me something valuable - her TIME!
