Lisa heard me say that I liked hot tea, so she came in my room with a cup of tea and said, "I made me a cup, so I made one for you", and "I hope you enjoy it". I did enjoy that tea. I lay there drinking my tea and reading the Gideon Bible that Lisa had found me. I came into the hospital through the emergency room, so I didn't have my own bible with me. Lisa heard me say that my patient room didn't have a bible, so she took her time again to look for a bible for me. I enjoy The Hallmark Channel on TV, and Lisa said she thought she had found that channel for another patient. Lisa came in with good channels for me to watch, but we didn't have Hallmark. When Lisa came to work the next day, she came by my room and said she brought a surprise from home for tea time in the afternoon. Every day Lisa would bring me tea at her own expense. She would take a few minutes out of her afternoon and have tea and conversation with me. I was in a room without visitors because you had to put on a gown and gloves to come in. I didn't want family or friends to visit as long as I was like that. Lisa, I thank you for everything you did for me. You are an Extraordinary Nurse.
