Lisa has worked at AllianceHealth since 1997 (28 years). She currently works in radiology but has worked in ICU, ED, M/S and House Supervisor during her time here. She is our Swiss army knife of nursing. She can and will do a little bit of everything, whatever it takes to make a patient encounter pleasant. She takes on any job with a smile. Her sense of humor lights up the workplace, makes her a joy to work with and a beloved member of the AHD team. She has an unwavering compassion to make a positive impact on every patient’s experience at our hospital. She genuinely cares for every patient she encounters. It show every day. 

Most recently she had a patient she took down for a stress test. The patient was nervous, slightly irritable, was NPO, and had missed her morning dose of caffeine (Dr. Pepper). While in the NUC med portion of the stress test was being administered, Lisa went down to the café and got the patient a Dr. Pepper. The patient was so happy she cried, “she was blown away the Lisa cared enough to get her a drink that she didn’t know people really cared that much.” That little gesture was so important to the patient. She knew Lisa listened and cared. Lisa’s professionalism, friendliness, and compassion goes above and beyond to provide exceptional care. She takes her time to assess a patient’s needs and makes sure they are fully met. She assisted a patient with dressing removal before her CT scan, which took over an hour to soak off prior to the study to save the patient an additional ED or physician office visit. Lisa creates a special compassionate bond with the patients she cares for. Her knowledge and skill are evident. Every day, she goes above and beyond the call of duty.
