Lisette didn't just make me feel like another patient, she made me feel like I was family.
I was inpatient for over a month for special monitoring of my twins. I knew right off the bat that this would be one of the hardest things I would have ever had to do as it meant not seeing my older kids for a long period of time and being completely isolated. I was nervous and scared my first few days. Then, I met Lisette.
Lisette didn't just make me feel like another patient, she made me feel like I was family. Let me mention how knowledgeable she is in what she does. She was always reassuring me of information I wanted to know, explained my meds, care, and procedures in a way I would clearly understand.
On my rough nights, when I felt overwhelmed, in pain, and drained, I didn't only have a nurse, I had support and someone who cared. Lisette had a way of making me feel positive about my long stay. It's the little details that don't go unnoticed, like checking if my water jug needed to be refilled without asking, making more rounds when she knew I was having a hard night, and saying, "I'm just checking on you," with a smile.
Last but not least, I want to recognize her patience with the twins. The whole unit knew they were not the easiest to monitor. Lisette was always so patient and never showed frustration, on the other hand, she would talk to the babies. When she noticed something needed attention she wouldn't delay or hesitate to call the doctor, which made me very relieved. Lisette is awesome and pours her heart and knowledge 100%. Thank you!
