Lisette was our nurse when my 2-month-old son was admitted for emergency surgery. He is my first baby, and I am a young new mom who was here by herself in this very stressful situation. Lisette made sure that I knew all the resources the hospital had to offer as soon as we settled into our room. She made sure I ate, would even run and fetch me a plate from the family center, and made sure my coffee cup was always filled. She constantly made sure that me and baby were comfortable and offered her aid in every sense. She is the perfect example of what an amazing bedside nurse should be. I nominate her for her kindness and ability to put herself into your shoes. Her empathy was unmatched I will always be grateful for how safe and confident she made me feel in the medical decision making process for my son. She is knowledgeable without overstepping, as she relayed all the information to any of my medical questions. This is just one aspect to her absolute professionalism. She will go far as a nurse.
