Liz was nominated by Jill McNamara, BSN, RN who told a detailed patient story. Jill quoted the patient in her nomination as saying, "When I first found out I had Liz again, I knew it was going to be a good night. I trust her, I'm comfortable being in her care. She's an excellent nurse and I'm so thankful that I was in her care tonight."

During her DAISY presentation ceremony, another colleague shared a recent example of Liz's compassionate care. Liz recently was moved when her patient told her he had no shoes. The next day, on her day off, she along with her 16-year old son presented a pair of his shoes to give to the patient. The patient was moved to tears by this generous gesture.
