Logan Johnson often receives accolades from fellow nurses as well as patients. The following comments were from nurses:
"Logan is a treasure. He made sure (patient) was well cared for."
"We had dinner guests this weekend - CR had been on Witt 4 for atrial fib following a total knee replacement. The patient and his wife (a board-certified critical care MD) raved about the care they received, specifically mentioning a 'young man named Logan'."
"I was transferred to Witt 4 and made comfortable by my team of nurses (Logan, Jonette and Bola). They kept me at ease by keeping me well informed. All the team members asked how they could help me in any way."
The following comments came from inpatient satisfaction surveys:
"A tall male nurse was particularly good; his name was Logan."
"...Special thanks to Logan who is a very skilled angel of mercy."
"On being admitted to the cardiac unit, the same level of care was carried through. I wish to mention two nurses, Tim and Logan. While doing a procedure, a problem arose and they rose to the occasion; with great expertise, they solved it."
"Logan was exceptional on Witt 4."
Logan's response to receiving the DAISY Award was, "I was so surprised to receive the DAISY Award! I am grateful to the family of Patrick Barnes who created this award in memory of their son. The Barnes family describes DAISY recipients as skillful and compassionate. I am very honored to be thought of in that way, however I must give credit to past and present mentors, a great nurse manager, Stuart Huffman, and my awesome Witt 4 colleagues. They make it easy for me to fulfill my daily 'mission' to make a patient's and family's worst day a little brighter."
