It was difficult, and I had a panic attack during the procedure. Loni came to my room and was a ray of sunshine.
I came up to the unit after having a biopsy and procedure on a mass on my pulmonary artery. It was difficult, and I had a panic attack during the procedure. Loni came to my room and was a ray of sunshine. She introduced herself, asked what I needed and that was food! It had been 24 hours since I ate. She brought us dinner, introduced us to the rest of the staff, she was so bubbly, and her smile warmed my heart. I was pretty down, and she made sure I was comfortable and said she would be back in the morning. Her shift had been over 20 minutes before; it did not matter to her. She tucked me in and told my husband to go home. The next morning, she was there when I woke up, saying good morning, it is a beautiful day outside. She got me fresh coffee, took my vitals, and said breakfast would be out soon. She introduced herself to my daughter and just seemed to be such a caring and beautiful person. I am a shy person, but she brought me out and was there during a very scary time in my life.
