She was there to go over all our questions during that difficult decision and at the last moments. She treated us like family.
My dad was admitted to the and unfortunately passed away in April. He was very ill with multiple issues and in a lot of pain due to uric acid throughout his entire body. He experienced care from multiple nurses in the ICU during the week and a half he was there, and not one of them compared to this RN. This RN took incredible care of my dad in the last few days of his life. She was compassionate and tender with him. She always spoke to him with a gentle and caring voice. She moved his body gently when he needed to be moved because of the immense pain he was in. She constantly changed the dressings on his wounds and made sure he was clean. She made sure he was always comfortable. She constantly checked in on him and us to make sure everything was ok or if we needed anything. Not only was she there for him, but she was also there for us, his family. She would call and update us first thing in the morning before we even got to the hospital to let us know about the night before. She explained everything to us that was going on with him and what the doctors were testing for. She was so knowledgeable about everything and was great at explaining things in terms we could understand. She was there for us after the Dr came in to tell us that my dad was probably not going to make it or have a good quality of life. She was there to go over all our questions during that difficult decision and at the last moments. She treated us like family. This RN is truly an amazing and compassionate person and nurse who deserves to be recognized and rewarded. I will forever be grateful for those few days with this RN because I know my dad was truly taken care of by her. She will always hold a special place in our hearts, and I wish I could thank her every day.
