We believe that Loretta provides a physical and emotional haven for the staff and patients of B3. Since Loretta has become our nurse manager, morale on B3 has improved drastically.
Loretta is one of the most compassionate and generous people we have ever met. She is not only generous towards her staff but towards our patients as well. Just to name a few examples of Loretta's generosity: she purchased sneakers for a homeless patient with numerous wounds on his feet, she raised money to help a young man get back home to his family in Florida and provided emotional support to the distraught husband of a patient newly diagnosed with metastatic cancer.
We, the staff of B3, are inspired by Loretta to be better: better nurses, better CAs, better AAs, better co-workers, better people.
Loretta has inspired and encouraged the nurses of B3 to obtain our medical-surgical certification and further our education.
Loretta exemplifies what it means to be a team player by providing emotional support to her staff and hands-on assistance; she even puts patients on bedpans!
