They ask questions about how he is doing and take an active interest in what is important to my father.
My Father is a cancer patient at St Elizabeth and I have brought my father to his appointments on several occasions. The medical team is beyond amazing! All treat my father very well, aside from his medical needs they are very genuine and caring with my father and all who bring him to his appointments. They ask questions about how he is doing and take an active interest in what is important to my father. They also give my father a hard time in a playful way which is something he truly enjoys. On his birthday they had a Happy Birthday sign above the room with cards and balloons, this absolutely made his day. I am from Indiana and can't always be here to support my father aside from phone calls. I take comfort in knowing my father is in such great care. This is patient care, unlike anything I have seen in Indiana. Chemo treatment is not easy for him, especially because it is a lifelong commitment due to his diagnosis. Some days are mentally depressing for him. Yet the ladies here at St Elizabeth absolutely brighten his day and wish for that depressing factor that comes with chemo. It is very evident these ladies truly care about their patients and work hard to provide the best care for everyone including patients and their family/visitors. These ladies definitely need to be recognized for their dedication to their job and patients. It truly makes a difference in the lives of others.
