E arrived at your transfusion center to receive platelets and blood transfusions. We met RN Lulu Castro and LVN Rebecca Knapp, who work that unit. Since that day and twice weekly, they have displayed so much compassion for their professionalism on every level and they always make sure my wife is comfortable during her treatment. In fact, I've observed them to be the same with other patients. One day, a patient requested a bed but none were available. Although he wasn't happy being in a chair during his treatment, Lulu and Rebecca took good care of him and made him comfortable.
We were at a doctor's appointment with Dr. S (City of Hope). She asked us how we liked the Transfusion Center. We told her that we always have a good experience with Lulu and Rebecca. We are truly happy with them. Dr. S was very happy to know that we've had a good experience with them. She told us she would refer more people there.
I'm writing this letter to commend Lulu and Rebecca for their professionalism, compassion and the high work ethic they demonstrate. It is clear they work well together and they make a good team. It's also clear that they enjoy coming to work. They always have a good attitude and they always have a smile that makes everyone comfortable. They are a huge asset to your medical staff and I am truly grateful for all they have done for my wife. I would hope that you would commend them for the good work they do and for performing their duties to the highest capacity. They should serve as positive role models for other RN's and LVN's.
