After Lynn’s shift, she returned and brought my husband a birthday cake and me lilies for Mother’s Day! What a special, amazing, and thoughtful nurse Lynn is.
Lynn was the most compassionate nurse that I’ve ever known. She went above and beyond in all aspects. She was there just as soon as I pressed the call button and did her work as well as the work of the CNA. I was very sick – a severe UTI and ended up with Sepsis. Lynn reassured me as I was slowly improving. I was admitted early morning on the 5th floor and moved down to the 4th floor when my symptoms became worse. Sunday was my husband’s 80th birthday. I was crying and telling Lynn that I felt so terrible that I had not even gotten to bake my husband a cake. After Lynn’s shift, she returned and brought my husband a birthday cake and me lilies for Mother’s Day! What a special, amazing, and thoughtful nurse Lynn is. Lynn is an extraordinary nurse.

We had a patient with a TBI; Lynn Addis went above and beyond to make this patient feel safe and cared for. He was looking forward to watching the Superbowl and said how much he wished he could have a pepperoni and bacon pizza to eat while he watched the game. Lynn stopped on her way to work, got him a pizza, and surprised him with it. He was so excited and appreciative because he had not had any visitors and felt special.
Later that night, he mentioned that his mouth was hurting and that he wanted ice cream. She went to the employee's grill and bought him ice cream. The next night, she stopped and got him soup. All of these seemingly small gestures meant the world to this patient.
On her last night with him, he told her he didn’t ever want to leave the 4th floor! I love how she found a way to connect with her patient and saw him as a human and not just a room number.
