Lynn's care for my best friend and the exceptional support she provided is worthy of a DAISY Award. My friend was hospitalized with a heart attack. He was taken to the 4th floor for a few days and developed a bleeding vein in his lung. He was taken to ICU and remained there for about 5 days until he stopped bleeding and all of the tubes could be removed. When he returned to the floor we requested Lynn to be there to care for him on the days she worked. She was the most caring individual in the nursing field we had ever met. My friend was pretty despondent about the time in the ICU and his chances of making it home. Lynn's time with him not only gave him the will to live, but he was able to go to rehab and was released in less than 3 weeks. He returned home but sadly passed away with a large attack a few days later. Lynn sent a very special note about him and how sorry she was to hear of his passing. I know nurses see many patients but she took the time to go above and beyond.
